After months without much activity, I am back to exercise (Can it happen to a Personal Trainer ? Reeaally ? Yes, indeed we are humans!). Well, I have found that mixing gentle movement with spirituality speeds up my recovery process and also helps me to have a clear and focused mind, as I want to go back into an active life.

FALSE. It is highly individual. Some people are very sensitive and may experience hypoglycaemia. Those people should not worry about eating something before their workout. They will use it as a fuel anyway and their wellbeing and energy expenditure will be higher during the workout.

- Get some sun, but don’t get a sunburn. Light-skinned people should be exposed for 10 to 30 minutes a day around noon, while dark-skinned people may need up to an hour of exposure. Vitamin D promotes muscular strength. It helps regulate bone mineral density, protects again cancer, balances the immune system. If you can’t go much in the sun, consider seeing a nutritionist to help you fine-tuning a nutrient-dense diet including some appropriate suppplements.

As a Personal Trainer, I strongly encourage everyone to exercise. Nevertheless, more and more I consider myself as a Holistic Personal Trainer, since I became aware of the fact that exercising on its own is far to be the unique answer to look good naked, have a flat stomach, look radiant, be fit and healthy … And on top of that, we all want to be a Superwoman at work and at home with Hubby and the Kids.
