Exercise and Pregnancy

Can you exercise during pregnancy? Should you exercise? What kind of exercise is safe? What are the benefits of exercise during pregnancy? What should you be aware of when exercising? Should you train your Pelvic Floor Muscles? There are so many questions around this topic!

In this post, you will find 3 very interesting links, if you are planning a pregnancy or expecting a baby.

1) The first link steers you to an article whose title is “Exercise During Pregnancy”. The link is extracted from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists website, and the article was updated in August 2011. It displays only 2 pages, because it goes straight to the point! It is quite easy to read since it is shown as Q&A.

2)This second link (click on the previous words) comes from the Continence Foundation website. This Australian Foundation is supported by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, under the National Continence Program. The article will teach you a lot, if you have never heard aboutBladder and Bowel Control Problems. Don’t be afraid by the reality of the facts in page 5 of the brochure.
3) The third link is a post written by Michelle Kenway, who is a renowned Brisbane-based physiotherapist. Michelle gives us “7 Top Tips for Feeling Your Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises“: http://www.pelvicexercises.com.au/pelvic-floor-muscle-exercises/
Good reading!
